My issue is animal testing. Every year, over 30 million animals are tested. Cats, dogs, monkeys, hamsters, and many more animals are tested and hurt in the process.

Pro-side: Animal testing is a huge step in the development of new medical technology. Many scientific breakthroughs resulted directly from animal testing and many new vaccines & surgical procedures have been directly obtained from testing on animals. New medical procedures require animal testing before human testing could be permitted.

Con-side: Animal testing is cruel and painful to the animals that are being tested. Almost every animal that is tested gets killed. Many animals suffer. 63% of animals tested, experience momentary pain and suffering, 29% of animals tested are given some sort of pain killer, and 7% are given no painkillers so they suffer a lot of pain. Much of the data collected from animal testing isn't reliable because the experiments are often carried out in stressful environments.

I am against animal testing. It is cruel and causes pain and suffering to the animals that are being tested. Although animal testing could result to many new medical techniques and technology, almost every animal gets harmed or killed. 30 million animals a year that are tested is a lot. If most of those animals are killed every year, soon, many animals might become extinct. This is why I am against animal testing.

I am against animal testing because it tourtures the animals. I think that medical technology is helping us enough already. Hurting the animals is making most people mad instead of thrilled there will be new technology.

I'm against animal testing because it is unfair to the animals. Although it works for finding some cures, it kills animals. :(

I am against animal testing. We should not be testing animals because we're killing them! The animals need to live a fair life!

I am 100% against animal testing. It's cruel and it's torturing the animals. Animals have feelings too. It's just not right to experiment on innocent animals just for the scientists' good.

Testing is cruel that is sad that majority of the animals tested are in lots of pain and many of them die

I think that testing animals is a good solution to finding cures. The bad thing is that people test animals too much.
